Excellent 3rd place in Seville

The 2015s started impressively this afternoon with a 3-0 win over England’s Adam Sommes academy, a 1-1 draw with the Spanish Pro Academy, and finally a 2-1 over Englands EMC Academy.

This left us top of the 8 team group and unbeaten, moving on to the semi finals.

We were drawn against Elite Union, a team based across England and Dubai and who we battled out a scrappy 1-1 draw in the group stage.

We raced in to a 2-0 lead but Union fought back to claim a 2-2 draw. It was end to end in the final moments and no team could grab a winner.

Straight to penalties and all penalties were scored until 8-8. 

Unfortunately Union scored and Currie Fc had theirs saved. 

Out of the cup on penalties.

Cruel.

We played Cliftonville of Northern Ireland and signed off with a 3-1 win and third place was ours.

We are all extremely proud of the boys and how they represented not only their club, but their country, being the only Scottish team across all age groups.
