The U10 Girls had a fantastic day at the Haddington Football Festival, playing five 10-minute matches and representing the team brilliantly throughout. The 2015s started impressively this afternoon with a 3-0 win over England’s Adam Sommes academy, a 1-1 draw with the Spanish Pro Academy, and finally a 2-1 over Englands EMC Academy. This left us top of the 8 team group and unbeaten, moving on to the semi finals. We were drawn against Elite Union, a team based across England and Dubai and who we battled out a scrappy 1-1 draw in the group stage. Currie Fc started their Junior European Cup adventure Seville playing the first 4 of 7 group matches. Manchester 62 from Gibraltar (8-1), Penrith from England (4-2), Elite Union from Dubai (1-1) and Cliftonville from Northern Ireland (5-1) ensure we finished day 1 top of the champions league type table, unbeaten on 10 points. 8 different scorers today and some fine defensive performances in near 40 degree heat. Currie FC Chargers 2016’s made the trip down south to the Blackpool Cup. Football took priority over the weekend but we found time to relax and enjoy the pleasure beach and the arcades. We worked really hard and have built a strong team bond. Hopefully many more away days to come for this group! No Currie no party!

Currie FC have spaces available for girls age 5-8 to join their sessions at Oriam, every Friday from 7.15-8.30pm.
